President Joe Biden joined the 2022 IAM Grand Lodge Convention via video where he praised and congratulated IAM members for their critical role in the U.S. economy.
“You are Fighting Machinists, thank you for your support, thank you, President Martinez,” said President Joe Biden. “A big thanks to all of you because Wall Street didn’t build this country. The middle class built this country and unions built the middle class.”
During his speech, Biden highlighted some of the administration’s efforts to strengthen IAM families including the Butch Lewis Act, the CHIPS and Science Act, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act.
