IAMAW Code of Conduct
Consistent with Official Circular 817, the IAM is committed to providing an environment free from discrimination and harassment at this convention. We must all take this commitment seriously. As trade unionists, mutual respect must be the basis of all our interactions. Any form of harassment –based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, covered- veteran status, marital status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, pregnancy status, or any other protected characteristic—flies in the face of the fairness and dignity that we seek for all workers. We ask all delegates, guests, and participants to embrace our values and conduct themselves consistently with these values during this international convention and all related activities. Today’s designated contact for anyone who thinks they have experienced or witnessed discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior related to this convention is Laura Ewan or Tony Blevins. They can be reached at (702) 236-3239 or (702) 236-5060. We urge you to contact Sister Ewan or Brother Blevins if you have any concerns.
